How do i get my skin to be more clearer?

I dont have any pimples but my skin isnt as clear as i want it to be? What should i do to help?

Your rest, diet and water is all important too.

Never use toothpaste it is for teeth -

I just got an iPod touch and i want to get a case for it so it doesn't break, but most of the cases that i can find are for the iPhone not the iPod touch. So I was wondering if an iPhone case would work on my iPod touch or would it be to big?

Yes, iPhone cases are too big for the Touch. There are a few Touch cases out there right now, or you could wait until more cases are released.

I think I have sun spots on my skin from tanning.. what do I do? They seem to be spreading?

I have what I think is sunspots. They're round spots on my chest. They're the same color as my skin for the most part. I thought that I was just peeling and/or my skin was dry but then I'm noticing more spots. They seem to be spreading and getting bigger. What is going on???

dont spend so much time in the sun with so much skin exposed...............but ifyou have to use sunblock........its not made to stop the tanning process but to protect ur skin from burning...........thats what those spots are.......so be more resonisable with ur skin its all you got........but you may want to think about seeing a doctor too......the excessive sun can cause skin cancer

I had a similar issue and realized I did not successfully download the skins. The error that I made is that I did not select (highlight) the files when WinZip opened. First, ensure that you have WinZip downloaded from www.winzip.com. Then,

-Go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/feat_skins.ph...

-Click 'Download' next to the extra skins that you want

-When the 'File Download' box appears, click 'Open'

-WinZip will open, click on the first file at the top

-Scroll down to the last file, press the 'Shift' key, and click on the last file to highlight all files

-Click on the 'Extract' button at the top

-When the 'Extract' box appears, click on 'Local Disk (C:)', and click 'Extract'

-Go to the 'Messenger' drop down field in Yahoo! Messenger

-Select 'Change Skin'

-The skins you just downloaded will appear in the drop down menu

Ive never heard of music player skins for the PSP. Are you sure you can change it? You can change your wallpaper, theme and font. I dout you can change the player skin. But if your interested in font and theme changes here is the website with the whole list of theme downloads.

I Can't Get The Yahoo Messenger Skins Installed, What is the Procedure?

I Already did This:

Install the skins

Open the .zip file with WinZip.

Extract all the files into C:\. Make sure that "Use folder names" is checked. If Yahoo! Messenger is installed on a different hard drive, replace "C:\" with the appropriate drive letter.

Select Change Skin... from the Messenger menu.

But I Still Can't Change It

How do you make real mashed potatoes, skins and all?

I'm just starting out with cooking, never have done too much of it on my own in the past. I bought red potatoes and want to make the kind of mashed potatoes that are served at Applebee's. My boyfriend works there and told me they add cream, but he really didn't go into the "mashing" portion. What do I use to mash the potatoes?

I also want the skins in the mashed potatoes and maybe some garlic. I'm sure you just wash the potatoes and starting mashing and don't peel them to get the skins, but what about the garlic? Do I use cloves or powdered garlic???

I love the red potatoes with skins on for mashed potatoes. I usually cut them in quarters and boil til tender. Drain the potatoes and return to the hot pot to let the water evaporate a bit. I use either an electric mixer or my food processor to cream them by adding butter, milk and/or cream, sour cream. If you want the garlic taste add garlic butter. I keep the little containers of garlic butter from when i order pizza but the same can be achieved by adding chopped garlic to the butter but i would not add the whole cloves. Add milk/cream slowly until you get the right consistency. Good luck gal cause those are some good taters YAH!

Reply:Use red potatoes if you want to keep the skins on. Wash them well, cut in half and boil with 3-4 garlic cloves. When the potatoes are tender, drain and mash .. being sure to smoosh all the garlic really well. Add butter, heavy cream, salt and pepper to taste. You can also add some grated parmesan cheese.

Reply:Cut up the potatoes into about 3/4"-1" pieces and boil them until fork-tender. Meanwhile, melt about 6 Tbsp. butter in a small pan with a couple big spoonfuls of minced garlic and keep on low (so you don't scorch the garlic).

Drain the potatoes, and toss in a package of softened cream cheese. I mash mine with the beaters of a hand blender, and then turn it on. When they're almost as mashed as you want, add the garlic butter and beat until mixed. Easy!
Reply:Instead of butter or cream try buttermilk- that's what my bf's grandmother uses and she is from North Caroline (best Southern cook ever!). I like to mash them with a fork but you can use all kinds of things. Also on your first try don't add too much other things like garlic and cloves...just try to be natural and see how they come out the first time, then next time you can be experimental!

Cut potatoes all the same size and boil in lightly salted water until fork tender. After you drain the potatoes return them to the pot and put the pot on the same burner that you cooked them on. (Flame off of course) This helps evaporate the lingering water so that your potatoes are nice and fluffy.

To your potatoes you want to add 2 tbsp. butter, 1/4 cup sour cream, a splash of milk, and salt and pepper to taste. Smash the potatoes with a potatoe smasher or a large fork. You want chunks because these are smashed potatoes not mashed potatoes. After you mash the potatoes sprinkle on a healthy helping of shredded cheddar, sliced green onions, and crumbled bacon which you have cooked up while the potatoes were boiling. Serve!

Its hard to say. I dont think they still order them in, unless the DS phat is popular in that area and the Lite is not. Or if they have equal standings.

A game store should definitely have them. but you can try sites. Decalgirl.com, modskinnz (I think thats it.) and others.

They carry skins. Styluses also, though you need to look around a bit more.

Also try Fleamarkets, resell shops, bargain sections in places like Big lots...look around. And go to goodwill also.

Too much extreme weather. Here in CT, we had a ton of rain, then a lot of sun, then too much rain again. And all my tomatoes have cracked skins! I use those tomatoes for sauce.

Reply:The skin of tomato grows at a different rate than the inside. If the tomatoes get excessive water the inside grows too fast for the skin, resulting in the cracked skin. This is more pronounced when there is heavy rain following a prolonged period of hot dry weather.

While the problem can't be completely resolved, there is one trick which helps to reduce the cracking. When you first plant the tomatoes you should water the heavily for several days. This tricks the plant into "thinking" it's a wet climate and will 'allow' the skin to expand a little further.

This requires some trial and error because if you over do it with the watering the cracks will appear earlier.

First, make sure you have a downloads folder in the game. If you don't, you'll need to create one. Go to "My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2". You should see a folder labeled "Downloads", if you don't, you'll need to make one via "File", "New", "Folder". Name it "Downloads" (capitalize the D).

Now, you need to extract your downloaded skins into the game. You can either use the by-hand method or the do-it-for-you method (my preferred one).

If you go with by-hand you'll need to download Winzip, or WinRAR archivers. They're available for free trials. WinRAR might be a better option as .rar files aren't recognized by Winzip, but .zip are recognized WinRAR.

Open your downloaded file, and "extract" to your "My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads" folder. Pretty much all new content and downloads go there.

If you opt for the easier on you way, download the File Maid 2. When you first run her she'll ask for the path to your download file. "Browse" that path - "My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads". She'll do all the unziping and decompression of the files. She recognizes pretty much all the file types including (but not limited to) .rar, .zip, .pkg, etc.

You just run her program, and drag-and-drop your downloads (still compressed) into her little lawn-like interface. She does all the work for you.

No, not at all, a lot of people have lighter patches on their skin. My sister even has it in her hair, she's got dark brown hair within the middle a blond patch. It's called pigment-vlek in dutch, but I don't know in English.

Do not take pills, as some people recommend you, it's totally normal!!!!

Where the preview picture is, click on "3. Edit stylesheet"

Under the 'main section' section, go to 'padding top'.

Change that number. Depending how big this number is, will depend on how much of a gap is left between the bebo tool bar and the beginning of your profile text.

Play around with it until you get the right space for you.

This will bring your background image to the top with no text covering it.

ok well you got a .jar file right and you executed the files and you found the instal.rdf noe open firefox and go to tools then add ons then click themes now drag and drop you install.rdf into the window it then should install the theme when its done exit firefox then open it again and the theme should be installed . hope this helps

I have dry bumpy skin, I'm always tired, my back hurts..could something be wrong with me?

My dry bumpy skin is on my face only....I'm just so lazy and tired all the time. I try to stick with a workout plan but I'm just too lazy to do it. I'll get a little energetic but doesn't last long. And my middle back hurts, I use to crack my back could that be why. It feels like my kidneys hurt, if I had a kidney infection what would be the symptoms. Could something be wrong with me?

Seriously, sounds like dry skin, lack of exercise (being lazy just leads to tiredness), probably not eating right, and screwing up your back by cracking it!

If you had a kidney infection you'd probably have a fever, flank pain, etc.

Its meant to be joined but in a lot of the cases it tears off when you have sex... don't worry about it.. it happens to a about half of the people who aren't circumcized...

when u create a person and choose there skin color there should be a little folder click on that and you should find all the skins that u customized
Reply:just to add to "Duck Boy", there will be a folder next to the darkest skin tone that looks like a little asterisk ( * ) there you will find your downloaded skins
Reply:Custom skins that are downloaded, you have to open the file and double click on the icon to install it then open up the game, go to CAS and click the little asterisk that's by the darkest skin tone. It'll have all the custom skins you've installed in the game.

Reply:I seriously doubt it. Most plastics are designed to handle heat and not conduct it. I think the plastic would have to have been in a fire and melting before anyone got burned from it. For example I poured boiling water into a plastic container and held it. It was hot but I did not get burned. Now I did not hold it for 10 minutes either so if the plastic chair was as hot as 212 degrees F or 100 C and he sat in it for a while yes he would get burned but again the chairs are much thicker than the water bottle I poured the water into (BTW the bottle shrunk that was the extent of the damage) The chairs are much thicker and would take a very long time to get to that temperature so no the guy did not get burned from a plastic chair. Do the experiment yourself. Stick a chair outside and see how hot it gets and if you can sit in it.

paint stores the file as a bitmap graphic (.bmp) which basically means LOADS of dots/pixels in rows

if you save the file from paint as .bmp more memory is used up defining each pixel a colour

so you tan take the saved file and open it in photoshop or any other editing software and you should have the option in "Save As" to save it as a JPEG file (which is a vector graphic) meaning that it stores mathematical equations instead of each pixel (which makes the file size considerably samller)

If you have Photoshop then you can load the image into Photoshop then save the image with a lower quality or simply make the size smaller. Both methods should reduce the images size.

I heard that smoking can make your skin look really bad, but what about living with smokers? I live with 3 of them, and although I have always had not so good skin on my face, it seems to be getting worse now that my brother and his gf, both smokers, are living with us... is it the smoking, or is it just other issues?

The only way smoke can affect one's skin is if the smoke are too hot and too close to the skin. Otherwise one's skin has to be real alergic to smoke for it to be affected. Note that 2nd hand smoke can be much worse to your lung and health than your skin. I assume that you are a teenager, so skin problems for you just means you're growing up and has hormone changes. It happens to everyone of us, getting teenager spots!

Whatever you decide I would stick with the same line I am not big with mixing and matching you don't know if how two different brands will react with each other companies formula the products to work together. As to which is better I have customers that use the MK toner with 2% salicylic acid once a day evryday and others that use it ever other day It really depends on your skin as to which one is better for oyu you might need to experement to get it right.

Once you see a skin that you like, click the download link and then a dialog box will come up asking you whether you want ot open or save the file. I took AP studio art and while that's actually a specific but interesting topic, make sure that it doesn't get too gruesome and you really push the idea. The big part of a concentration is that you have an original idea that you use as inspiration. There should be a clear either visual or conceptual connection between all your pieces. Sounds to me like you're on the right track, just make sure you really stretch it.

ThemeXP for new XP skins - have you noticed any problems such as slowing computer?

I downloaded ThemeXP to change the skins and themes of XP and I like the results but Im finding that it is slowing my computer down somewhat and even getting timeout errors on bigger programs such as Paintshop Pro X (this happens as soon as I try to open it) but can use Paintshop Pro 9 and if I close a window down in Explorer it causes an error which then forces all the Explorer windows to close - is there a fix for this? Is it just that my computer is about 4 years old and just not fast enough for the reskinning? Thanks :)

i have had this since i was a girl, its a rather large and noticable area on my upper chest, it looks like a whole bunch of spots clumped together. It is not raised and it doesnt irritate me at all, the spot turns white only when i am hot, or lying in the sun or when i get embarassed and the rest of me turns red but but the spot stays white. people always ask what it is and i dont know what to say. ive also noticed tiny red dots on my arms that almost look like tiny broken blood vessels, and the areas around the dots stay white. i also seem to have very sensitive skin. could it be sun damage? is there a way to get rid of it?

It's not pigmentation but a lack of pigmentation. Small areas of albinism. My father had them and brother does. It's in the genes, so there's nothing you can do except keep the areas protected from the sun. Just part of the fascinating diversity that makes us uniquely beautiful.

Could it be a fungal infection? Maybe you can try some fungal cream from pharmacies. I've heard of a home remedy but I'm not sure if it's work. Cut a lime into half and dip the cut face of the lime into sulphur powder (available from chinese medical halls) and apply to the area in circular motion. Twice daily. Hope this helps :)

My cat has a skin problem. By chance does any one know what it could be, or how I can help her?

A family of three share a 4 year outdoor cat.

She spends at least 5 hrs a day outside, on are acre of land.

Last night she came in with something on her scalp that appears to be dandruff.

But it hurts her when I or some one else tries to pull the dead skin (as it appears to be) off of her.

I am not sure what this may be or how I may help.

Could it be PI?

What appears to be dandruff may actually be dandruff. It's not a uniquely human problem. However, you sound to be describing something that looks like a scab? It may be a tick. I should hope that since your cat is an outdoor cat she would be appropriately guarded against fleas and ticks with something like Frontline or Advantage. Find out whether this thing is a tick or not. If so, you can burn it off, though I wouldn't suggest putting a flame near your cat's fur. Heat a metal object and press it against the tick, but ONLY if it's really a tick... otherwise you may be putting hot metal to your cat's scab. Fluffy will not be happy with you!

If that really is a scab you're trying to pull off, I'm not surprised it hurts your cat. I wouldn't want anyone picking at my injuries... esp if they're still fresh and tender. If it really is a flesh wound, feel free to apply Neosporin to it... it has the same effect on animals as it does on humans. Since the injury is on her head, she won't be able to lick it off.

If you're afraid it's something more serious than a scab or tick, take your cat to the vet immediately. You don't want to wait until it's too late.

If you really want to change colour and end up looking like Michael Jackson then that is your choice.

The safest option might be Spray Tan Companies.

Spray tan companies can make a Caucasian any depth of brown they want, you should make enquiries and see if they can spray you lighter .

It is worth asking as it is only a dye they use.

#1 You must find where the Yahoo messenger skins are located...

Go to C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Shared\Graphics.

Inside the graphics folder you will see "Maverick and Indigo" these are the skin folders.

#2 Right click on "Indigo". Pick copy folder.

#3 Right click on the copied folder and pick change name.

#4 Enter a name. For this Yahoo messenger skin making tutorial I will use the name "Red". Click on the folder you just renamed and find the .xml file marked "Indigo". Right click on Indigo file and pick rename, rename it with your Yahoo messenger 6.0 skins name. Example "Red".

#5 Now right click on the .xml you just renamed, and pick open with. Here you might have a few choices for a text editor. I use notepad.

#6 Inside the .xml where it says skinname="indigo" replace it with your skins name. Example skinname="red".

#7 Open your Yahoo messenger 6.0 and click view%26gt; change skin. At this point you should see the name of your skin with the "Classic, Indigo, and Maverick skins" on the skins selector window. It will still appear just like the original "Indigo skin". You now have a platform to make your own Yahoo messenger 6.0 skin.

When you replace a default skin with a custom one it replaces that skin completely. You have to either reinstall the game or find a website that has the default skins to download. It always helps to cut and paste the defaults to a new folder in case you don't like the custom ones or in your case it lags.

maybe when you uninstalled the game you deleted some thing you shouldi'nt have deleted, or some thing went wrong while you uninstalled the source skins.

The LDS church is having no problems with segregation. Dark skin originated from wickedness, but has no bearing today on wickedness. It is Genetics my friend, simply genetics. It means absolutely nothing.

All that needs to be done is add the files into your Yahoo! Messenger folder.

1. Go to "Computer"

2. Double-click your C: drive, then "Program Files", "Yahoo!", "Shared", and "Graphics".

3. Right-click in the "Graphics" folder, go to "New," and click "Folder" to create a new folder. You can name it anything, this step is just to make it easier if you decide to get rid of the skin later.

4. Double-click the new folder you created in the last step, and place the unzipped files for the new skin in the new folder.

5. Open Yahoo! Messenger and click "Change skin..."

Your new skin should now be listed in the drop-down menu.

like it can trigger acne.... but my question is how long should it take for it to actually appear to have affected it on your skin? I've heard that your skin like re-generates itself every month or something? is that true? like if i eat chocolate(if it is actually a cause of acne) how long will it be until my face breaks out? Days, or like a month, or the very next day? .... something ive wondered for a while now.. thanks

There is no definite answer to your question. But, eating healthy and drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day will help with the over all appearance of your skin. However, this does not mean that if you have an occasional chocolate bar, you will break out. If your diet is more nutritious, then an occasional snack should not cause acne. If you eat nothing but junk, your skin will probably show it. There are those lucky people out there who will never break out, and those who will continue to break out no matter what they do. Everyone's skin is different, and there's no one answer that suits everyone. And yes, your skin does regenerate every 27 days or so, but that does not mean "new" or "healthier" skin will reappear every month. You have to eat well, keep your self well hydrated, wash and moisturize to keep it at its best. I hop this has helped!

Yes, what you eat does affect your skin. Think of it this way, your skin is your body's largest organ; it's one of the easiest ways for your body to expell waste and toxins, i.e. sweating. Everyone's body however is different from eachother, so how your body will expell through your skin, and WHAT is going to be different. I would say that eating too many greasy foods, as well as cheeses and other difficult to digest foods are what's going to affect your skin the most. If you want to eat chocolate, it's perfectly okay, however only eat chocolate that contains 60% or more Cocoa (so basically really dark chocolate because it will contain little or no dairy) Really pay attention to the foods that you eat and how they make your body weight fluctuate. If some foods make you break out more than others, they may also make you gain weight and vice versa.

as far as how long it takes to break out after eating a certain food, that's going to be different too. It's going to depend on whether it affects your skin (noticeably) in the first place, and also whether your body chooses to expell the waste from that food more through your skin or by using other methods. Experiment if you would like and see how those foods change your body.

Also, try exercising more. It helps your body rid itself of toxins faster and may make your acne heal faster.

OH! And if you are interested in a great acne skin care system that is WAY better than Proactiv and wont dry you out is a new brand Called "Acne Recovery". It's amazing and it was just launched last week at Nordstrom (at least here in Portland and I believe it's available at www.nordstrom.com) I just had a training on it and it's like nothing i've ever seen, and it works. Go check it out, it's good for even people with the least bit of acne!

Reply:Yes in general the less junk food and the more fresh fruit and vegs you eat, the better for your skin, but it really varies from person to person. For example I used to break out quite often and over time I realised that if I normally avoid foods that contain yeast dairy products, I no longer break out. And yogurt is supposed to be very good for your skin, but it gives me spots. So I'd say keep note of what you eat and what happens and see what works for you... Good luck :)

As far as I know there are none that anybody has created. They should be at the Yahoo gallery (http://gallery.yahoo.com/tags/ymj) under Yahoo Music Jukebox but there are none. It's pathetic... I don't know why more people don't create improved skins. I for one would love more options.

I don't have WinZip. I refuse to pay $30 for something that used to be free. So I'm using the Extractor that came bundled with Windows. I have followed all the instructions. I have created a file on my C drive, in Program Files, in Yahoo!, under Shared Graphics and even tried under Messenger, with the name of the downloaded skin. Still I can't access it. What's going on? Is it the Extractor?

You should try downloading Windows Live messenger (you can chat with yahoo, aol, gmail, msn users)

then...download the windows live messenger plus..

aside from other softwares...using the windows live messenger plus allows you to use a wide options o skins by the correct "script"(which you need to find and download)

then...you can have more than one skin you can use..if you dont like it..you can change it...it's faster and easier than downloading skin by skin using another messenger
