Would the fiber count be any different if you removed the skins before eating?
Do the "skins" on boiled chick peas provide extra fiber?
Most of the fiber is in the skins.

One would think that there would be more fiber with skins on. How much not sure.
Reply:think about it. in certain fruits %26amp; veggies the skin when cooked becomes very protective to the meat inside. like tomatoe's peas etc. the skin holds no value. hard boiled egg. the membrane between shell %26amp; the egg its self. do u think that has any fiber in it?
